FutureMusic Magazine is the latest publication to review the LA-220 microphone from Lauten Audio, and it\u2019s clear they were impressed with Lauten\u2019s most affordable FET condenser.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whilst Lauten is best known for their high-end studio mics<\/a>, the cost-effective Series Black range has proven to be equally popular with both reviewers and users, with many surprised by the quality of these mics despite the lower price-point. <\/span><\/p>\n

In his review of the LA-220 for FutureMusic, reviewer Robbie Stamp writes \u201cthe closest example in terms of price and design fared worse than the LA-220 on most sources (only drew level on a guitar amp); whereas the LA-220 gave the \u00a32k valve condenser a damn good run across the board.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In regards to the sonic signature, reviewer Robbie Stamp also found the LA-220 produced ‘mix-ready’ recordings – surely the ultimate compliment for a microphone! He was particularly impressed by the LA-220’s mid range, describing it as “natural and well-balanced”, and capturing “vocal and instrument sources in a mix-ready form that many mics at this end of the market fail to.”<\/span><\/p>\n
