Since its release earlier this year, RME’s dedicated headphone amplifier and USB-DAC has continued to win plaudits from both pro audio and HiFi circles, and we’re pleased to report that the praise just keeps on coming.

Along with its AD\/DA sibling the RME ADI-2 Pro FS<\/a>, the RME ADI-2 DAC is undoubtedly the German manufacturer’s finest converter to date. With a sleek design and flawless sound, plus a huge array of features like EQ, spectral analyser, auto-recognition and a customisable remote control, the ADI-2 DAC is arguably the most cost-effective, high-end analogue to digital converter currently on the market.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Reviews have been strong for both devices, with the latest coming from Sound On Sound<\/a>. Finding a long list of ‘pros’ and zero \u2018cons\u2019, SOS describes the ADI-2 DAC as having \u201csuperb technical performance\u201d, with \u201celegant control and configuration options\u201d and \u201csophisticated DSP functions\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Reviewer Hugh Robjohns summarised his view of the DAC, writing \u201cthis is a very intelligently and skilfully remodelled version of the ADI-2, and I am very impressed with all that it can do, and the ease and quality with which it does it!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for the highest-quality, \u2018end-game\u2019 AD\/DA converter for high-end recording and monitoring, the RME ADI-2 Pro FS shares many similarities with the ADI-2 DAC whilst adding crystal-clear, transparent analogue to digital conversion to the mix.
