Audio over Internet Protocol (AoIP) is the name for sending real-time digital audio over a data network. A variety of formats have risen in recent years such as Dante, Ravenna, AVB, Soundgrid, AES 67 and many others, but what are the key differences between each format, and how are they being utilised by professional audio engineers?<\/p>\n

The Institute of Professional Sound (IPS) will answer these questions in a special 2-day training event over the 9th – 10th March, held at the National Film & Television School (NFTS) in Beaconsfield. Bringing together a panel of experts, the ABC of AoIP will discuss just what AoIP is, how it works, and importantly, what to do when it doesn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

This is an opportunity to talk to and learn from experienced professionals who are well-versed in AoIP. It will also be a great place to meet with people from the audio and broadcast industries, and to get hands on with some of the latest pro audio tech from a variety of manufacturers and distributors. There will also be lunch and refreshments provided throughout the day, with a post-conference social on Saturday night at the Royal Saracens Pub and Restaurant (5 minutes walk from the NFTS).<\/p>\n
