Martin Warr (Synthax Audio, MD) explains how RME Sessions came about and what we actually did on the day.<\/p>\n<p>The winning act was <a title=\"Nick and the Sun Machine Facebook Page\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/NickAndTheSunMachine\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cNick and the Sun Machine\u201d<\/a> and their track \u201cMountain\u201d which was <a title=\"Mountain by Nick and the Sun Machine on iTunes\" href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/gb\/album\/mountain\/id576490725?i=576490918\" target=\"_blank\">released on iTunes<\/a> the same day was engineered and produced by Tony Newton (live and studio recording engineer for <a title=\"Iron Maiden Homepage\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ironmaiden.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Iron Maiden<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>We used 3 recording set ups, the first was an RME Babyface with Logic on a Mac Book Pro, the second was an <a href=\"\/rme\/firewire-usb\/rme-fireface-ucx\/\">RME Fireface UCX <\/a>in Class Compliant mode on an iPad and an <a title=\"RME Fireface UFX product Details\" href=\"\/rme\/firewire-usb\/rme-fireface-ufx\/\">RME Fireface UFX<\/a> with Pro Tools on an iMac.<\/p>\n<p>We also used Lauten Audio mics across the session, including the new Atlantis FC-387 on lead vocals and <a title=\"Ultrasone Headphones full range of products\" href=\"\/ultrasone\/\">Ultrasone headphones<\/a>, which the band loved.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/37hGzEuIu7c\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">See more videos at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/synthaxtv\" target=\"_blank\">Synthax TV<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is our very own \u201crockumentary, if you will\u201d about RME Sessions which was held on November 5th 2012 at Air Studios, London.
