Calrec has launched a new free online training service for the Brio<\/a> and Type R<\/a> broadcast consoles, the company\u2019s popular small-footprint digital audio consoles.<\/p>\n
Providing engineers and operators with a comprehensive overview of each console, the courses cover hardware, I\/O, routing, mix minus, busses and monitoring, and are designed to get users up and running quickly and with confidence.<\/p>\n
The courses are designed to be straight-forward and easy to follow, with each section featuring a dedicated video, followed by a series of questions on the current topic. Upon completion, users will be supplied with an official certificate from Calrec for Brio and\/or Type R systems.<\/p>\n

Free Online Training for Calrec Brio, Type R and AoIP<\/h4>\n
\u201cWe have always had an open-door training policy at Calrec,\u201d says Henry Goodman, Director of Product Development, \u201cbut COVID-19 has significantly shifted the broadcast landscape, and it\u2019s our responsibility to help customers develop with tools that can be accessed remotely.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAs workflows continue to evolve, online training courses are increasingly important to help customers learn key products and be able to show that they have done so via certification.\u201d<\/p>\n
Calrec will expand its online training service with a series of detailed AoIP masterclasses that cover everything a broadcast facility needs to know about IP, how it works and the effect it is having on our industry.<\/p>\n
\u201cIP is a complicated subject; our new course will break IP down into independent and objective modules, which we hope will enable broadcasters to make IP decisions with confidence,\u201d Goodman adds.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a very broad course which covers the basics through to PTP, Multicast and the importance of intelligent network design.\u201d<\/p>
