Voting is now open for this year’s SOS Awards, the magazine’s annual celebration of the best in new audio hardware and software.<\/p>\n

From audio interfaces, external FX and mixing consoles, to DAWs, software instruments and MIDI controllers, the SOS Awards features categories for pretty much every aspect of recording and music production.<\/p>\n

As one of the most prominent publications in the industry, the magazine’s an SOS Award is a highly-regarded stamp of approval, and so we’re pleased to have two products from our brands nominated from 2020 – the next-generation RME Babyface Pro FS<\/a> (Best Audio Interface) and the innovative noise-rejecting Lauten Audio LS-308<\/a> (Best Microphone).<\/p>\n

\"RME<\/a>RME Babyface Pro FS<\/h4>\n

The RME Babyface Pro FS is a professional 24-Channel, USB bus-powered audio interface with pristine sound quality; fantastic wordclock accuracy courtesy of the new \u2018FS\u2019 (femtosecond) clocking circuitry; and ultra-low latency performance on Mac, PC and iPad.<\/p>\n

Comprehensive monitoring, mixing and routing controls are offered by the FPGA-based TotalMix FX mixer, all of which is controllable via the dedicated TotalMix FX software controller, including wirelessly with an iPad or second computer via the free TotalMix Remote<\/a> app (Mac\/PC\/iPad).<\/p>\n

The front panel provides highly accurate metering for both inputs and outputs, along with quick access to gain and level controls, and additional user-definable function keys for tasks such as Mono On\/Off, Mute, Dim, Level Recall, Talkback, and loading saved mixer states (Snapshots).<\/p>\n

The unit is also expandable via the optcial ADAT I\/O (also S\/PDIF compatible), allowing for the connection of external microphone preamps and AD\/DA converters, adding an additional eight analogue inputs and eight analogue outputs.<\/p>\n
