A preview version of RME\u2019s MIDI Remote software is now available for 64-bit Mac users.<\/p>\n
Available as a free download via the RME Forum<\/a>, MIDI Remote enables remote control over a number of RME’s professional format converters and microphone preamps.<\/p>\n
A variety of functionality can be directly controlled via USB \/ MIDI \/ MIDI over MADI (device-dependant), such as gains, 48v, phase, mute, and headphone levels for monitoring.<\/p>\n

RME\u2019s Matthias Carstens says \u201cThe former Mac MIDI Remote was 32 bit only, therefore no longer worked under newer 64 bit OS for quite some time, so this update was overdue (sorry for the long waiting time).\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe newly programmed version is fully based on the former remote, basically nothing has changed. Design, functions and features are all the same as before. We improved the display for Retina screens a bit, and might fine-tune this later on.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMore important at this time is to get some feedback if we either missed something, or if the new version is not compatible with one or the other system (it should be, of course).\u201d<\/p>\n
This preview version comes without an installer \u2013 simply download and unzip the file, then move it to your Mac\u2019s Applications folder.<\/p>\n
