\"Front<\/a><\/strong>As part of the headphone manufacturer\u2019s 25th Year anniversary celebrations, Ultrasone invited a selection of guests to visit the company’s facilities in Bavaria.<\/h3>\n

As the UK distributor for Ultrasone<\/a>, Synthax Audio UK made the trip to Germany for a first-hand look at how the company produces its range of premium headphones. Guests were treated to refreshments, entertainment and a tour of the facilities, providing a great opportunity to see the company\u2019s design and manufacture process up close.<\/p>\n

The Synthax team was especially keen to find out more about the development of the company\u2019s three latest additions to the Ultrasone family – the Edition M Black Pearl<\/a>, Edition M Plus Black Pearl<\/a> and the Tribute 7<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"Black<\/a>Ultrasone Edition M Black Pearl & Edition M+ Black Pearl<\/h4>\n

Primarily known for its flagship range of luxury Edition headphones, Ultrasone recently announced the release of two new pairs to the series \u2013 the Ultrasone Edition M Black Pearl<\/a> and the Edition M+ Black Pearl<\/a>. Handmade in Germany, these models have been designed specifically for high-end mobile listening, with their respective impedances of 40 Ohms (Edition M) and 30 Ohms (Edition M+) allowing them to be easily driven by most mobile devices.<\/p>\n

The Edition M Black Pearl is an on-ear headphone that combines portability with stylish aesthetics and detailed sonic reproduction. Whilst similar in looks, the Edition M+ Black Pearl features an over-the-ear design, to suit those who prefer to isolate themselves completely when enjoying music on the move. Lightweight (weighing only 146g and 228g each) and produced from exquisite materials, both pairs are perfect travel companions, providing audio enthusiasts with a high-end listening experience on any journey.<\/p>\n

\"Listening<\/a><\/strong>Ultrasone Technologies<\/h4>\n

As part of the factory tour, visitors were able to get a look at the company\u2019s listening stations (complete with an anatomically correct model of the human ear), which play a fundamental role in the design process of each headphone. Ultrasone has developed a number of patented technologies in the course of its 25 year history, most notably the S-Logic “Natural Surround Sound” system<\/a>,\u00a0which produces a more open and spacious sound without artificially altering the audio signal.<\/p>\n

At the same time, S-Logic also allows for a reduction in sound pressure levels by up to 40% (3 \u2013 4 dB), enabling the wearer to listen at lower levels whilst simultaneously reducing the risk of hearing damage and the effect of \u2018listening-fatigue\u2019.<\/p>\n

Ultrasone Tribute 7\"Burning<\/a><\/strong><\/h4>\n

One of the most popular headphones from Ultrasone was the company\u2019s Edition 7, which was released in a limited run back in 2004. With only 999 pairs produced, the Edition 7 remains a popular collector\u2019s item among audiophiles. As part of the company\u2019s anniversary celebrations, Ultrasone have decided to pay homage to the Edition 7 with the release of the Ultrasone Tribute 7<\/a>. Restricted to only 777 pairs worldwide, this exclusive limited edition will certainly be of interest to collectors and Ultrasone fans.<\/p>\n

In this picture, we can see two pairs of Tribute 7s during part of the burn-in process. Ultrasone\u2019s Edition range is known for benefitting from long burn-in times, and the Tribute 7s are no different! If you\u2019re interested in checking out the Tribute 7 for yourself while there\u2019s still some available, Synthax Audio UK will be exhibiting a pair at CanJam in London on 13th<\/sup>-14th<\/sup> August<\/a>, for the first time in the UK.<\/p>\n
