QM Studios<\/a> have chosen to upgrade their recording studio and music rehearsal space in Horsham, West Sussex with the RME Fireface UFX II<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Run by engineers Adam Gellibrand<\/strong>, Jack Coldrick<\/strong> and Rob Adams<\/strong>, QM Studios<\/em> has been active as an organisation since 1999 and received charitable status in November 2017.<\/p>\n

\u201cQM\u00a0Studios<\/em>\u00a0began with the intention of promoting the enormous amount of unheard musical talent within the local area, and expanding the live music scene in general,\u201d says Studio Manager Adam Gellibrand<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith the aid of a lottery grant and support from Horsham District Council<\/em>, we purchased a 2 kW PA system; secured and set up the studio site as a low-cost rehearsal facility for local musicians; and funded Horsham District Battle of the Bands.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

The RME Fireface UFX II<\/a> is a 60-channel, 24-Bit\/192 kHz
professional USB audio interface.
<\/em><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Studios are booked out regularly for evening sessions, with all three rooms usually busy most nights. As a charity, we’re focussed on developing outreach and educational programmes to offer groups access to professional quality equipment and services.<\/p>\n

“These sessions help support and enable music makers in the community, particularly those from vulnerable groups.\u201d<\/p>\n

As part of a recent upgrade to their space, the studios reached out to Synthax Audio UK<\/a> about acquiring an RME Fireface UFX II<\/strong> audio interface, to act as a powerful new central recording hub.<\/p>\n

The interface was immediately put to use for a day organised by The Butterfly Project<\/a>, a local centre in Horsham which organises activities for adults with learning disabilities, including recording sessions at QM Studios<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe currently deliver outreach work two days a week, to give vulnerable groups from around the Horsham District and West Sussex area full access to the studio,\u201d Adam<\/strong> continues.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost of our work is in-house, although we also deliver sessions off-site. We liaise with organisations to assess their needs, then devise and tailor a workshop plan to enable the group to access music-making in a safe, professional environment.<\/p>\n

“We have experienced practitioners and volunteers that work with groups of all abilities, specialising in groups made up of people with additional needs and disabilities.<\/p>\n
