The newest member of Dynaudio\u2019s flagship Core Series<\/a>, the Core 5 is a compact studio speaker designed for smaller studios, edit rooms and OB trucks, or as satellites in professional immersive and Dolby Atmos mixing environments.<\/p>\nDon\u2019t be fooled by their diminutive size though – the Core 5\u2019s sonic accuracy means they sit proudly alongside the larger Core 7, Core 47 and Core 59, with a frequency response going all the way down to 45Hz (at -6dB).<\/p>\n
And if you do need that extra bass, the new Core Sub Compact is the perfect accompaniment to any of the speakers in Dynaudio’s Core range, for creating a highly accurate stereo\/2.1 monitoring system, or for taking care of the low-end frequencies in surround and immersive setups.<\/p>\n
Designed primarily to be used as a digital system, the Core 5 and Core Sub Compact feature both analogue and AES3 inputs, with the built-in D\/A converters specifically tuned to get the best out of the Core 5 cabinet and drivers. A variety of DSP sound-shaping facilities can be found on the rear panels, allowing you to tweak the sound of each monitor to perfectly suit your room.<\/p>\n
\u201cRight away I knew that these speakers fell at the \u2018very good\u2019 end of the spectrum,\u201d writes reviewer Paul White, adding that \u201cAt sensible listening levels the sound is beautifully clean and well defined, but with no sense of harshness in the highs, and a real sense of spatial depth as well as stereo width.\u201d<\/p>\n
