\n\tThe RME ADI-2 Pro<\/a> is RME’s new 2-channel AD\/DA converter and headphone amplifier. The German manufacturer is well known in pro audio circles for producing industry-standard audio interfaces, along with a range of high-end microphone preamps and converters. And this latest release is set to turn even more heads, with a design and spec thats sure to meet the high standards of both mastering engineers and hi-fi enthusiasts with a taste for high-end audio.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tAmerican hi-fi website Headfonics have written a detailed review for the device, covering all aspects of this feature-laden AD and DA converter, which can also act as a sample rate converter, DSD recorder, audio measurement device, class-compliant audio interface and a powerful headphone amplifier (for headphones of all impedances).<\/span>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHeadfonics' reviewer Klaus was clearly impressed, highlighting the crystal-clear sound and the lack of distortion even at very high volumes (of which the ADI-2 Pro is certainly capable of), plus the long list of features including 22 saveable EQ settings, the ability to EQ the left and right output channels independently (great for anyone who is hard of hearing in one ear), support for balanced operation, plus the ability to play back and record DSD files, with sample rates all the way up to 768 kHz.<\/span>\n<\/p>\n
