Sound On Sound\u2019s Neil Rogers tests out Lauten\u2019s flagship Eden<\/h2>\n

Lauten\u2019s Eden microphone is a true high-end valve LDC with bags of personality. And whilst it\u2019s been around for a while, it remains the flagship for a company who continue to push the envelope in a crowded marketplace, such as their new range of DRUM Series microphones.<\/p>\n

In fact it was SOS\u2019s Neil Rogers who\u2019d previously checked out the Snare Mic and Tom Mic for Sound On Sound – better to test out the Eden then, which he\u00a0 used on a number of sessions over several weeks.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had one client describe it as a \u2018bling\u2019 looking mic which could be a positive, depending on your particular taste!\u201d writes Neil in his view, going on to describe the Eden as \u201ca very capable, high-quality mic that seemed to handle some of the troublesome facets of vocal recording (like sibilance) with ease.\u201d<\/p>\n
