Marc JB is a music producer, remixer, song-writer, multi-instrumentalist and DJ who’s been recording and writing music for over 20 years. Best known for his work as a producer and remixer (both solo and as part of production team Bimbo Jones), Marc has had over 70 number 1’s in the US and the UK, remixing artists such as Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Pink, Ke$ha, Kylie, Kelis, The Killers, Tinchy Stryder, Katy Perry, Alexis Jordan and working alongside musicians including Sergio Mendes (co-producer on Latin Grammy winning and Grammy nominated album), Cyndi Lauper, Beverley Knight, Simon Bartholomew (Brand New Heavies), Omar, KC and Jocelyn Brown. His talents as a DJ have seen him booked around the globe for clubs, festivals and exclusive celebrity parties, as well as headlining at Glastonbury Festival.
In this video shot at his newly built studio in South London, Marc talks about his career, how he got started in the music industry, and his experiences in writing music for clubs. He also discusses why he built the studio, providing some great insights into how he tuned and refined the acoustics into the perfect environment for recording and mixing music.
Having kitted out his studio with high quality equipment, Marc also tells us why he decided on the new RME Fireface UFX+ as his audio interface, and explains how the quality and flexibility has helped improve his monitoring and his recording options.
