The Calrec Apex M6 is a 1U modular I/O platform that delivers powerful audio interfacing, conversion, routing, bridging and network edge connectivity in a compact package.
Designed to connect virtually any audio environment, it supports ST2110-30, AES67, Dante, MADI, SDI, Waves SoundGrid, AES3 digital formats and analogue workflows, enabling broadcasters to integrate legacy infrastructure, expand IP networks and simplify hybrid operations.
With MADI connectivity built-in as standard, modular expansion, native NMOS support and internal routing, Apex M6 delivers a cost-effective way to connect, convert, route and distribute audio, anywhere in the production workflow.

I/O Expansion
Add up to six I/O cards from Calrec's extensive modular range, including MADI, Dante, Waves SoundGrid, analogue, AES3, SDI & GPIO.
This is in addition to the two built-in MADI I/O ports, GPIO and redundant 1G/10G 2110/AES67 connectivity included as standard.
Format Conversion
Convert any input format to any output format across ST2110, Dante, MADI, SDI, Waves SoundGrid, AES and analogue environments.
Internal Routing
Flexible 1-to-N routing enables any input to be routed directly to any output, regardless of format, allowing signal distribution and format conversion without external routing infrastructure.
Bridging & Migration

Cost-effective IP migration
Apex M6 provides a cost-effective route into ST2110 and AES67 workflows without replacing existing infrastructure.
With two MADI interfaces built in as standard and compatibility with Calrec's existing I/O card range and audio consoles, broadcasters can reuse existing investments while expanding connectivity and moving to IP at their own pace.
Flexible connectivity & conversion
Acting as both a modular I/O platform and standalone format converter, Apex M6 seamlessly supports ST2110-30, AES67, Dante, MADI, SDI, Waves SoundGrid, AES3 digital formats and analogue workflows.
Internal routing enables direct signal distribution within Apex M6, eliminating the need to route signals through external network and routing infrastructure, simplifying system design and reducing complexity.
Deploy connectivity where it's needed
Apex M6 is quick to deploy and easy to identify. A front-panel e-ink display with rotary encoder and button control enables configuration of Hydra2 or AoIP operating modes and IP addresses before connecting to the network, and remains visible without external power.
Native NMOS support enables interoperability across multi-vendor IP environments, including ImPulseV virtualised DSP deployments.
