The RME Fireface UFX+ and RME ARC USB (Advanced Remote Control) were shown for the first time at Musikmesse 2016. With the flagship RME Fireface UFX audio interface a mainstay of studios around the world, it's no surprise that this extended edition has already been gaining a lot of interest, as RME raise the bar once again.
In this video, Matthias Carstens gives us a guided tour of this feature-packed device, which looks to expand and improve on the original Fireface UFX, providing audio engineers with everything needed for both live and studio work in one complete package.
Additionally, Matthias also shows us the new ARC USB, a remote control for use alongside the Fireface UFX+ which gives you quick access to all of the major functions of TotalMix FX. 15 assignable and illuminated buttons, an encoder wheel and a TS jack to connect a foot switch gives you all the control you need. The ARC USB is compatible with both Windows and Mac OS X, and is automatically detected once connected by TotalMix FX.
Although there's no confirmed release date as of yet, we’re expecting both devices to be available sometime in the summer (2016).
