Future-Proof your studio: RME Fireface UFX+ audio interface

In this video we take you through the RME Fireface UFX+, RME's latest flagship audio interface. Designed to act as a powerful central hub for any modern recording studio or audio installation, the Fireface UFX+ features a whopping 188 channels of I/O, Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 connectivity.

Additional features include standalone operation, direct recording to a USB HD or thumb drive via the advanced DURec function, comprehensive routing, mixing and monitoring via TotalMix FX (with EQ, Dynamics, Reverb and Delay on every channel), and remote control when paired with the RME ARC USB (Advanced Remote Control).

Combined with RME’s industry-renowned low-latency drivers, the UFX+ is a rock-solid audio solution that will form the perfect centrepiece for live, studio and broadcast applications.

Choose your platform – USB 3.0 & Thunderbolt, for both Windows and Mac OSX

The Fireface UFX+ is RME’s first audio interface to feature both USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt connectivity, with cross-platform support meaning you'll never be limited by your preferred operating system. The UFX+ provides incredible performance on both Windows and Mac OSX based systems, allowing you to freely switch between operating systems, and can even be used with Linux, or an Apple iPad when running in Class Compliant mode. And with Thunderbolt technology, the UFX+ gives you PCI Express performance capabilities over a cable, with incredibly low latencies, system overheads and CPU loads.

Other new features include the advanced DURec feature, which allows for time-stamped multi-track recording straight to an external hard drive via USB, and the new Advanced Remote Control USB (coming soon). The ARC USB provides quick access to a wide range of freely assignable control options, and can be connected to your computer’s USB port, or straight to the UFX+ itself for standalone operation.

The RME Fireface UFX+ also includes RME’s versatile Totalmix FX, RME's DSP-based mixer that allows for fully independent routing and mixing of all input and playback channels to all physical outputs. Each channel also features latency-free EQ, reverb/delay and dynamics for applying effects when monitoring. Completely independent stereo submixes can be created and routed to any output, providing unrivalled monitoring capabilities and routing flexibility from an audio interface, making the RME Fireface UFX+ the perfect choice for live, studio and broadcast applications.

UK customers can also benefit from a 5 year warranty, which is included as standard on all RME products when purchased from Synthax Audio UK or from an authorised UK dealer.
