This time around Ferrofish have managed to go even further, cramming a hugely impressive amount of I/O into 1U of rack-space whilst keeping the price-point extremely competitive. Featuring both MADI and ADAT functionality, the Ferrofish A32 also boasts powerful routing capabilities plus detailed channel metering across its 4 eye-catching TFT displays.

With so many great new features, we decided to make a video that showcases exactly what this innovative new device is capable of. Synthax Audio UK’s Product Manager Rob Masters was up to the task, giving us a run-through of the I/O and the slick new menu system.

Rob also covers topics such as the onboard DSP, which allows you to use the Ferrofish A32 as a powerful routing matrix for converting and combining the analogue, ADAT and MADI signals. Then there's the A32's great redundancy features, with dual power supplies and redundant MADI switching abilities between the BNC and optical I/O providing fantastic failsafe options.

On top of this, Rob also covers how the A32 can save your most used routings as presets. This means you can set up and store headphone mixes for quick and easy monitoring of all 64 inputs and outputs on the device itself, as well as all 128 inputs and outputs of the MADI stream – a very powerful and useful feature.

To finish off, Rob also discusses some of the many potential uses for this versatile device. The ideal tool for live, studio and broadcast, the Ferrofish A32 is an extremely powerful device that will no doubt appeal to engineers working across a wide range of audio applications.
